The ISACA Greater Houston Chapter is putting women in the spotlight at its 2026 Fall Conference, but organizers want to make one thing clear: This isn't a conference just for women.
Hosted by SheLeadsTech (SLT), the October 16 event at Houston City College's West Loop Campus will feature a predominantly female speaker lineup addressing cybersecurity, governance, risk and compliance (GRC), artificial intelligence, IT audit and career development. Organizers are encouraging men to attend alongside women, students and established technology professionals.
The message is that while women are leading the conversation, the challenges being discussed affect everyone working in cybersecurity and technology.
"I want men to find the same excellent content they would find at any other conference," said Jasmin Cattanach, executive board officer and secretary of the ISACA Greater Houston Chapter, pointing to a lineup that includes a senior security leader from Dropbox and discussions about AI, jobs and GRC.
The conference celebrates women in technology while providing professional development and networking opportunities for the entire cybersecurity community.
Cybersecurity, AI and GRC take center stage
The event, officially titled the ISACA Greater Houston Fall Conference, hosted by SheLeadsTech, will bring together industry leaders and practitioners for a full day of presentations, panel discussions and networking.
The agenda reflects the broad range of challenges facing today's cybersecurity and technology professionals.
A panel titled "Securing the Future: Inside the Threats Reshaping Houston's Industries" will examine the evolving threat landscape and its implications for organizations across the region.
Another panel, "Women at the Helm: IT Audit & Assurance Leaders," will explore the changing responsibilities of audit and assurance professionals and their role in helping organizations manage technology risk.
The conference will also feature a fireside chat, "Leadership, AI & the Future of Cybersecurity Talent," examining how emerging technologies are changing workforce requirements, leadership expectations and the skills professionals will need to remain relevant.
A session on professional career development will provide additional opportunities for attendees to explore their career paths.
Other areas of focus include measuring cybersecurity effectiveness, improving organizational resilience and understanding how CISOs can communicate risk and security priorities to executive leadership and boards of directors.
Industry leaders and the next generation
The speaker lineup includes professionals from organizations such as EY, BDO, Dell, Dropbox, Salesforce, NRG, Baylor College of Medicine, the University of Houston, Texas A&M University and Rice University.
Beyond the technical discussions, organizers are emphasizing workforce development and opportunities for students and emerging professionals.
Through scholarships, volunteer-led coaching and accessible learning opportunities, the chapter's SheLeadsTech initiative aims to connect new talent with experienced industry professionals while helping participants develop practical skills and explore careers in cybersecurity and technology risk.
The conference also provides opportunities for attendees to connect with peers, mentors and industry leaders across Houston's technology community.

The ISACA Greater Houston Fall Conference takes place Friday, October 16, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Houston City College's West Loop Campus, 5601 West Loop South, Houston.
Attendees can earn continuing professional education (CPE) credits for participating in the conference. Registration options are available for ISACA members, non-members and students.
